Match Report
With only 10 men this was always going to be an up hill fight. Alex Webster had volunteered to go in goal as Ben our keeper was one of the two boys unavailable to play.
We kicked off and looked to be holding our own when Withymoor tested our keep who
blocked the shot with his legs. Our boys not to be out done were producing some good chances and Asher came close when his shot just skimmed past the post.
Withymoor on the attack took advantage of some poor defensive work and although Alex saved the shot the rebound fell at the feet of a Withymoor boy who hit it home.
Withymoor on another break saw their player go down in the box and a penalty was given. Alex Webster made himself look big in the net and was jumping around on his toes ready for the shot. The ball was hit to his left and with a full stretch dive the ball was saved.
With a huge kick out the ball bounced over the oppositions defence and was duly hit home by Asher to even the score.
The second half saw a change of keepers with Curtis taking a spell between the posts.
A short pass out was Dominics down fall when he was caught napping and the Withymoor boy lobbed the keeper to give them the lead again.
We were in the last two minutes and desperate to pull something out of the bag even our keeper came up for a corner. Curtis tried to claim the goal but it was Asher who got there to save the day and finish this great game 2 all.
